CACS IS RECYCLING USED CELL PHONES, TONER AND PRINTER CARTRIDGES
- We're not asking for cash donations! We are asking for your trash!
- Your donation of unwanted cell phones and used cartridges means cash for Casa Allegra Community Services.
- You will be giving new life to your used items and keeping them from polluting our landfill.
Just the facts:
- Cell phones contain toxin materials such as arsenic, lead and zinc.
- Two and a half ounces of oil are used for every inkjet cartridge produced.
- Three and a half quarts of oil are used for every laser cartridge produced.
- Half a gallon of oil is conserved for every lser cartridge returned. With the United States consuming approximately 700 million gallons of oil a day, we are helping to conserve a valuable natural resource. Remember: oil is a non-renewable fossil fuel, and it can not be remade.
- Every year over 300 million cartridges are thrown away. In terms of weight, that is equivalent to over 30,500 African elephants!
Please join Casa Allegra Community Services in the WIN-WIN situation! You decrease your garbage and protect the environment. We receive much needed cash from your discards, offer employment opportunities for our clients who have developmental disabilities, and we thank you for providing your support without spending a penny. Drop off your used cell phones & printer cartridges and toners at our address or one of the following participating businesses. There is no cost involved in participating, as free collection boxes and free pick up or shipping is available.
