A wonderful group of friends of the Peter & Jane Murphy family have found the game of Bocce Ball a challenging, athletic, and social outing. Many of the participants were looking to make their love of the game become an event to benefit others. CACS and Scotty Murphy's house became an inspiration and a great new fundraiser was born.
The event was fabulous, fun, and flawless. Our thanks go to the organizers: Mary & Al Farbstein, Pat McGrath, Nany and Gary Towslee, Linda and George Vaio, and Jane & Peter Murphy.

Of the more than 90 people attending, many tried the game of bocce for the first time. The tournament was a round robin format, so there were lots of opportunities for mixing and mingling. A delicious barbeque lunch by Chef Dave Farbstein with lots of side salads was served courside. CACS is so grateful to receive in excess of $5,000 from contribtions of the participants, raffle, silent auction and generous donations from families who were unable to attend. We know you will want to join us for the second annual bocce tournament next summer so stay in touch!
